Hi hunt4it

At the moment you can add external links by editing the index.php file in the plugins directory.

At line 115 you would add a line like this

echo '<li><a href="url">url</a></li>';

That will create a external link.

Hello trains, this is a nice plugin!!
Do you know how to hide/not show the old categories when using your plugin? (see attached pic)
They are not needed when using this plugin... maybe that should be an option in the plugin?

Locate these line in main.php and remove it(line number 37 to 78 in modern theme)

Code: [Select]
<?php
                        $total_categories
osc_count_categories() ;

$col1_max_cat       ceil($total_categories/3);

$col2_max_cat       ceil(($total_categories-$col1_max_cat)/2);

$col3_max_cat       $total_categories-($col1_max_cat+$col2_max_cat);

?>

                    <div class="categories <?php echo 'c' $total_categories ?>">
                        <?php osc_goto_first_category() ; ?>
                        <?php
                            $i
1;

$x      1;

$col    1;
                            if(
osc_count_categories () > 0) {
                                echo
'<div class="col c1">';
                            }

?>

                        <?php while ( osc_has_categories() ) { ?>
                            <div class="category">
                                <h1><strong><a class="category <?php echo osc_category_slug() ; ?>" href="<?php echo osc_search_category_url() ; ?>"><?php echo osc_category_name() ; ?></a> <span>(<?php echo osc_category_total_items() ; ?>)</span></strong></h1>

                                    </ul>
                                <?php ?>
                            </div>
                            <?php

if (($col==&& $i==$col1_max_cat) || ($col==&& $i==$col2_max_cat) || ($col==&& $i==$col3_max_cat)) {

$i 1;

$col++;
                                    echo
'</div>';
                                    if(
$x $total_categories) {
                                        echo
'<div class="col c'.$col.'">';
                                    }
                                } else {

$i++ ;
                                }

Hi i'm trying to add this to my 2nd site im making and get this error

There was a fatal error and the plugin was not installed.
Error: "file_get_contents(http://s379217492.websitehome.co.uk/property-ads//oc-content/plugins/jquery_menu/struct.sql) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found" Line: 35
File: /homepages/41/d379217473/htdocs/property-ads/oc-content/plugins/jquery_menu/index.php

I have redownloaded the plugin and tried to add it again and still get this error every time please can anyone help? I had no errors when i added it to my other site at www.buysellandswap.co.uk and this is a fresh install of version 2.2.3

Thank you

Hi,

Thanks for the wonderful plugin you have made.  Works absolutely fine.  I have a query, I wanted to remove just 1 category from the Menu.  Rest all categories should be there.  (I wanted to remove Category = 1 from it)
Is it possible by any means?

Thanks in advance.

i attached the plugin as you request

it removes the first category

If you want to remove second category

locate these line in jquery menu index.php file line number 102

$j=1;

change to $j=2;

Hello Romantica,

The black color is actually a background picture.  In the oc-content\plugins\jquery_menu  folder there is a file named nav_bg.gif.  if you replace that picture with another one with the color you wish, it will work. This is what I did, but there might be other better ways as well.
