Osclass 3.8 and PHP 7.3.x
« on: August 14, 2019, 11:23:35 pm »
Hello.

Is anyone REALLY using PHP 7.3.x in a PRODUCTION site with all debug open ?

Does it work ok ?

Please don't reply to me with local tests or demo/test sites.

Thanks

Yes, on 2 instances for at least several months. No issues, or maybe there were few (don't really remember) which I've fixed on the go (minor if any, for sure).

Sorry, but what was exactly the verdict ?

I'm not able to fix any php problem myself.

Sorry, I do not understand your question? It is running right now, one domain is under my username here. Works fine, nothing in the logs.

Well, as I said, I switched to 7.3 few months ago from 7.2 and as far as I can remember, there were no problems. If there were, it was minor at best, but I don't have any specifics, I really don't memorize such details. Also, it all depends on the plugins and theme(s) that you use. I tend to modify almost every plugin I have, cleanup the code, yes, even the plugins from respected devs (that's just me :) ), so that might be the reason.

Anyway, have a run and see for yourself, create a test version to be sure, of course.
