Custom function in Osclass or Theme's functions.php
« on: August 19, 2019, 02:23:04 am »
I would like to ask what is the difference in having put a function in theme's functions.php or in Osclass functions.php.

I ask that because i see some custom function in my Osclass (from the previous guy we had as webmaster) and i would like to better put in theme's functions.

The function is to send and email to the user AFTER posting his ad.

Thanks

Practically, none. However, if you either update (overwrite) theme or core, you will lose all your changes that way. Plugins are better for that exact reason.

I see. Thanks.

There is one custom in Osclass and a couple in the theme's functions. So it is better for me to have them in one place, i would say in the theme's functions.
