BITFINGER - span users and re-captcha
« on: April 04, 2018, 06:41:42 pm »
Hi guys
Since I installed the bitfinger theme, every day has a lot of user span (500 at least in total)
I take the register.php from my site and I leave only the login with facebook And I still get span users
I can not make the re-captcha work .. I saw the youtube video of how to do captcha and span .... appears the error alert even though everything looks okay
I create the option to ban rules ... and tomorrow the same IP or E-mail appears again

I think it has a problem with "create users from admin" but I could not delete the script.
I have not found a forum post on re-captcha that works for me
Can anyone help me at least how to delete the "register or create users"

Thanks

Hi
Bitfinder support sent this msg to me:
--------------------------------
Hi.
Re-captcha v2 should be installed in Osclass settings, but not in theme.
You do not need to make any changes in the theme.
Just properly configure Re-captcha v2.
--------------------------------
Help from osclass youtube says: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVfNEI8YgFY AND I did it but doesn't worked.
--------------------------------
What do I have to change in the settings and which and where settings.php
--------------------------------
oc-admin has a setting file ->
                case('spamNbots'):
                case('akismet_post'):
                case('recaptcha_post'):
                    require_once(osc_admin_base_path() . 'controller/settings/spamnbots.php');
                    $do = new CAdminSettingsSpamnBots();
                break;

and oc-admin -> theme -> modern -> settings -> spamNbots.php --- has this file

<div id="recaptcha-settings" class="separate-top">
        <h3 class="render-title"><?php _e('reCAPTCHA'); ?></h3>
        <p><?php printf(__('reCAPTCHA helps prevent automated abuse of your site by using a CAPTCHA to ensure that only humans perform certain actions. <a href="%s" target="_blank">Get your key</a>'), 'https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin#whyrecaptcha'); ?></p>
        <form name="settings_form" action="<?php echo osc_admin_base_url(true); ?>" method="post">
            <input type="hidden" name="page" value="settings" />
            <input type="hidden" name="action" value="recaptcha_post" />
            <fieldset>
                <div class="form-horizontal">
                <div class="form-row">
                    <div class="form-label"><?php _e('Use reCaptcha v2'); ?></div>
                    <div class="form-controls">
                        <div class="form-label-checkbox">
                            <input type="checkbox" id="recaptchaVersion" name="recaptchaVersion" value="2" <?php echo ( osc_recaptcha_version()=="2" ? 'checked="checked"' : '' ); ?> />
                            <label for="recaptchaVersion"><?php _e('Use reCaptcha v2.'); ?></label>
                            <span class="help-box"><?php printf(__('If you were using v1, you need to <a href="%s">re-generate your reCaptcha keys</a>.'), 'https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin'); ?></span>
                        </div>
                    </div>
                </div>
                <div class="form-row">
                    <div class="form-label"><?php _e('Site key'); ?></div>
                    <div class="form-controls">
                        <input type="text" class="input-large" name="recaptchaPubKey" value="<?php echo (osc_recaptcha_public_key() ? osc_esc_html( osc_recaptcha_public_key() ) : ''); ?>" />
                    </div>
                </div>
                <div class="form-row">
                    <div class="form-label"><?php _e('Secret key'); ?></div>
                    <div class="form-controls">
                        <input type="text" class="input-large" name="recaptchaPrivKey" value="<?php echo (osc_recaptcha_private_key() ? osc_esc_html( osc_recaptcha_private_key() ) : ''); ?>" />
                    </div>
                </div>
                <?php if( osc_recaptcha_public_key() != '' ) { ?>
                <div class="form-row">
                    <div class="form-label"><?php _e('If you see the reCAPTCHA form it means that you have correctly entered the public key'); ?></div>
                    <div class="form-controls">
                        <?php osc_show_recaptcha(); ?>
                    </div>
                </div>
                <?php }; ?>
                <div class="form-actions">
                    <input type="submit" id="submit_recaptcha" value="<?php echo osc_esc_html( __('Save changes') ); ?>" class="btn btn-submit" />
                </div>
            </div>
            </fieldset>
        </form>
    -----------------------------------------------
And Google says to paste this
     <script src='https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api.js'></script>
before meta tag but those files doesn't have meta tag

It is not the BitFinder theme, but some problem in Osclass, because even with Bender theme, I could not get reCaptcha to work.  The reason you are getting bombarded by spam, could be because people or robots can complete forms without the need to solve the Captcha.
I had an advanced user check it out for me, but days later, came back without any clue.  Someone else managed to fix it for me.
The HoneyPot does not help either because bots get set up by detecting "Field:  Hidden", so they are smart to avoid it and still get to fill out the form without a problem.

I thought it was the page (/users/frm.php) .. I blocked it and for a few days stopped the span. But now they have returned. I created fields (required) but no use. Does a select with a specific field to choose or a field that needs to use the mouse can solve?
