custom fields do not appear to new created categories

does anybody know why the neew created custom fields DO NOT apprear on the new created categories?

These new custom fields only appear on the default categories.

Note: The new categories are groupen inside the old main categories.

Any advise?   I´ll appreciate it

The new custom field is the telephone ( Do not why a basic field likete the telephone) doesn´t appear as a default field on a classified ads script which is basic, and it has to be created as a  custom field.

Did you assign each of them from the admin menu to specific categories that you newly created?

Yes from the admin menu I did select all the main or parent categories.

  The new created subcategories are inside these parent categories. There´s no way to asign the new custm field to a sub category but parent category.

If I understood your right... can you try unchecking all categories and checking them again in admin?
