Title: OpenStreetMap Maps
Post by: Hartenheer on June 18, 2018, 01:57:40 pm
I have installed the OpenStreetMap Maps.
Sleutels bij de index.php ingevoerd.
allow_url_fopen = On
I just do not know where to place the secret key
The plugin is on, but do not see where it should work

Who else has advice for me

Ik heb de OpenStreetMap Maps geïnstalleerd.
Keys entered at the index.php.
allow_url_fopen = On

Does anyone know if the OpenStreetMap plugin is being upgraded for https?

Plugin (https://market.osclass.org/plugins/maps/openstreetmaps-maps_161) was last updated in November 2015, I doubt it will be maintained by the author any more, since I haven't heard from him since.

I haven't used it in a while, but it shouldn't be hard to replace http to https in 3 files (it's safe to use search & replace):

1. index.php
2. map.php
3. leaflet.js

Hopefully it will still work, if the js API hasn't changed since.

I tried this, but only get an empty field

There is no leaflet.js in the download

Then API is probably changed (that happens in 2 years) and requires updating.

I have just tested the plugin, it still works fine, even with http (no https switch in the code). Why it does not work in your case I do not know, but OSM is very sensitive to wrong data input, you have to be careful about region, city, if anything is wrong, or if it contain a keyword it doesn't like (e.g. "some region" or "some city"), it will code 0.00/0.00 for lat/lon coordinates. Google Maps API is far more resilient to input errors and interpretations, that's why it's the best and without real competition atm.

Strange, I only get to see an empty part.
Google maps has problems with Java.

It's the problem with your address in that case, it does not understand the location. Make sure you have it all right (region, city, street address).
Also, map will be updated only if you edit or post new item, that's how it works, which you have to do when updating location, anyway.

I'm not sure what javascript (not Java) conflict you have with Google Maps plugin, maybe it is caused by your theme (wouldn't be the first time I've seen it).

I will make a print screen.

Ik zal een printscreen maken.

Added.

I want to download it again, but now I have to pay for a key

I think it is odd.
See only where to place the key.
I can not find where the secret key is.

Switch to Bender theme and check again. I definitely see map holder, even with no map loaded.
I don't understand about keys, you can generate them in MQ's dashboard. Secret key is not used.

I have condoned it in Bender, unfortunately only an empty card.
I have the key, which you have to fill in index.php
The secret key, no idea where to enter it.

I'm afraid there's the fault somewhere.
If I do not use a key, I have the same result as with a key

Even though a new key unfortunately did not try anything

Sorry, I have no idea from your description what could be wrong on your side. I have checked the plugin, and it is working. Again, secret key is not used, you don't need it for plugin. I suggest you install a fresh Osclass and test it again, preferably on new domain and server.

Then it would be the second time that I start again.

Lost all members and ads.
Will think about this, maybe I'll stop right away.

I have tried again, is really on OpenStreetMap Maps.
Is blocked because it is http.
Show blockade unsafe script and see the result.

Does not work on a https site

Hi, all I can say is to give it a try with my plugin version (green right button > Clone or Download > select .zip)

https://github.com/dev-101/open_street_maps

Replace your public API key in index.php file. This version also has a debug function to see what you get for a response directly on item page; you can use it as per README.md file instructions.

I have tested it in localhost (without a real domain) and on plain http, it worked. Maybe their API detects localhost and white lists it, for dev / testing purposes, but if it's on a real domain, then it gets blocked. I don't really know, don't have much time to test all that now.

Many thanks for your help.
Unfortunately it does not work yet.

Give it up to get this on my site.

I have been trying to get OSM working and my experiences seem to fit in with what I am hearing. So, consider me another data point. What I am looking for are tome debugging tips.

First, let me say that the block for the map gets included in some themes but not in others. But, that's a different subject.
I looked at the generated page source (that is, HTML with coordinates and such plugged into the JavaScropt) and it looked fine. So, I copied it, pasted in in a local HTML page and accessed it. The map displayed just fine. But, the page I grabbed the code from doesn't display it. The space is allocated but no map.
