[NEW PLUGIN] Contact Optional
« on: September 22, 2011, 06:04:48 am »
Hi All

Just as the name says it give the user who is posting the ad the option to show or hide the contact form on the right hand side of the screen.

**Update 10-18-11
Fixed bug with removing the contact form for contacting the admin.

**Update 9-26-11
Fixed bug forgot quotes around variable.
To update just copy over old files no need to reinstall plugin.

Great plugin! Is there a way to have the check box enabled by default? Where the user would have to uncheck it if they don't want to show it.

Hi Jay,

Thanks for the reply. That would be helpful as most people might miss the check box the first time around.

Also I got a question for you, since I seen you do a lot of customization here. I moved the pictures section over to the left under the description so that I can add a contact info box (which I need to be a text area input, like a second description area) above the contact email section so that publishers like real estate agents can put their contact info there. I would prefer one box and they add the info as they want. You think that is something you can create? I am already using the normal custom fields for other details above the description.

Hi Ken

I can make a plugin for that.

There appears to be a bug in your plugin.  I get the following error when editing.

Notice: Use of undefined constant contact_enabled - assumed 'contact_enabled' in /oc-content/plugins/contact_optional/form.php on line 7

I fixed it for myself.  Changed if($detail[contact_enabled] to if($detail["contact_enabled"]

Thank you for the cool plugin!

Hi Jay,

I noticed that when the plugin is installed it turns off the contact us page form.

Thanks,

Ken

Hi Jay,

When the Contact Optional plugin is installed, the plugin disables the form on the

http://www.domainname.com/index.php?page=contact

Is there a way to make sure that the form on the /index.php?page=contact  stays enabled

thanks,

Ken

Hi Ken

Now I understand I will look into a way to keep the plugin from removing that form.
