« on: October 24, 2011, 09:53:51 pm »
Hi all

Here is a horse attributes plugin I have been working on.

Update 5-13-12 Added a bunch of horse breads and a list of skills Thanks to hallartistry for providing the list of breads and skills.

Enjoy.

Cool plugin though when I had it activated within my site, I couldn't select a sub-item (After I select For Sale for example, doesn't bring up Animals, etc.). This is in the Twitter Bootstrap theme v1.1.1.

It would be cool if this could be turned into a generic plugin for animals. So first, choose the animal type (Dog, Cat, Horse, Cow, whatever). After that, it would bring up the breed choices, purebed yes/no, male/female, and any other pertinent question.

Hi koltz

I will take a look at why this plugin is not working right with the twitter theme.

I like the idea of making it generic for different animal types. I am also thinking that maybe the plugin should be made into two plugins one for domestic animals and one for farm animals.

I have a friend who actually wants to start a site geared towards dog breeding for classifieds which is why I bring it up. But being in Wisconsin, I could see the advantage to having one for farm animals.

I will look into which fields I think would be help full for the domestic animals plugin. I live in South Dakota so I as well could see the advantages for both plugins.

Btw, how do I remove some options, Like "Gaited"?

And is it possible to edit the "Year Foaled" to "Age born" with a dropdown? (I see that more easier) if so how?

Thanks in advanced.

So I just realised that even when I check "no" on whether the horse is gaited or not, it still shows up as "Yes" when the ad is published?

Any ideas what code I need to look at to change the "gaited" option? Still keeps switching to "yes" once I publish the ad after I've clicked "no".
