[New Plugin] Top Sellers
« on: April 02, 2016, 02:31:26 am »
Hi All,

I just released a new premium plugin focussing more on users this time and it is called 'Top Sellers'.
A nice way for all who want to focus more on their users and create more competition to grow their site use.

The plugin is available in Osclass Market and displays the Top x (default 5) Sellers.
Top Sellers are defined by the number of ads your users are offering on your system.

=> Top Sellers are 'clickable' and redirect to the public user profile
=> Multi Language (ships with english & dutch language PO/MO files)
=> Easy Implementation
=> Supports three themes Out of the Box(!) (Bender / Modern & Boxer) but can easily be expanded using some basic html/php knowledge and the available sample files
=> Nr. of users to display can be configured by Admin in Plugin Config (max. 25 users)
=> Extensive README / Help file available through Plugin Config

Live site using the plugin can be found here: www.spulleboel.nl

Enjoy!

Hi,

I am using an older version of the Boxer theme and I made some css changes over the years. Some because I liked them better and some to get things working better either with Osclass or some plugins in general. I can't really help you with that.

Eric

Hi there, have you read the readme.txt file inside the plugin folder? Inthere you will find directions how to incorporate the plugin in your theme. Since the shopclass theme is commercial I am unable to test it for you.

Eric

yes i read it but i'm not sure it'll work for my theme, it says "if you need to add a new form" so do i need to ? i dunno.

"In case you want to add a new form"  is this what i need to do ?

"IMPORTANT! To make the code work correctly you need to use the theme name as known by the Osclass system"

i don't think it'll work for my theme, and i wouldn't even know where to start to make it work, even after reading this, i'm no coder so i'll just leave it .... thank you anyways :)

"HOWTO ADD YOUR OWN THEME FORM
*********************************************************************
In case you want to add a new form for use in your own theme you can do so by following this routine:
- first make a copy of one of the existing theme forms in the plugin's "forms" folder, for instance "frm_top_sellers_bender.php"
- save your copy like this: "frm_top_sellers_your_theme_name.php" where your_theme_name = the name of the theme you are using
- make sure your new form file is saved in the "forms" folder
- make sure your form is used with your theme by adding the following code to the plugin's "index.php":

   case 'your_theme_name':
      include("forms/frm_top_sellers_your_theme_name.php");
      break;

- IMPORTANT! To make the code work correctly you need to use the theme name as known by the Osclass system
  To find out what name your theme is you can do the following:
   + Login as Admin in Backend and go to "Manage Themes" (This is the Admin page where you can change your Osclass theme)
   + Move your mousepointer on top of the 'Activate' button of one of your themes not activated
   + Once you hoover over this button you will see the url link appear in your bottom-left corner
   + This link will look something like this: "http://www.mydomain.com/oc-admin/index.php?page=appearance&action=activate&theme=osclasswizards&CSRFName...."
   + Notice the name of the theme in this link: theme=osclasswizards
   + So the name you need to use ('your_theme_name') in above code would be "osclasswizards"
   + The code would then look like this:

   case 'osclasswizards':
      include("forms/frm_top_sellers_osclasswizards.php");
      break;

- Now you are ready to make form changes that fit your own theme, in this case the free theme called "osclasswizards"

ENJOY!"
