[Updated PLUGIN] Kinza QR-CODES v1.1
« on: March 28, 2012, 05:11:07 pm »
Updates in Version 1.1

  • Removed the border from generated code and increased the rows of dots,
before if the link to the ad was short it would generate a small barcode with big border around it however now it should not create any white border and should create same size barcodes everytime.
  • Increased the barcode size from 100x100 to 120x120

Oringinal Post.

Right I have another very simple plugin to share some might find it helpful.
At the moment it only shows the item url qr-code but more can be added using helper at the end on api url.

If you know there is already a QRCODES plugin developed by the osclass team
https://github.com/osclass/osclass-plugins/tree/qrcode

But mine one is very simple using Google API.

Well now you are spoiled you can use whichever you want...

Enjoy

Thanks Jay
I am glad you liked it.

I see that you are working on TagCloud.

I made one already.
It installs ok and working but I do not have a show function for it yet instead I am using the 7-8 lines code to show the tagcloud on site.
Will you have a look at it?
My hosting provider @webhostinghub (status on twitter) is having problems right now.
When they sort the problem out

You can see the Tagcloud on the bottom-left under the static pages.
I will then pm the plugin to you to have a look at it before making it available to the community.

Hi computerbar,

I was working on a tagcloud plugin. I got abotu 60% done then I got sidetracked on different projects. So I am curious how are you setting the tags? Do the users enter them or are you getting them from the text?

well, the ability to change dimensions exactly to what I need makes it better solution than original qrcode generator

EDIT: hmm, some QR codes are somehow crazy, after reading it, I was redirected to some products 4 of 5 tries. dots are too small even for my Galaxy Nexus and Evo 3D :/

will stay with original with blury qr for a while :/

Hello tech_fan22

This show qrcode for the item url so you need to add the script somewhere on your item page i.e. item.php in your theme folder.

for the start you add it just after item description and then you move it arround with some css styling later if needed..
https://github.com/osclass/OSClass/blob/master/oc-content/themes/modern/item.php
line 86-87

<div id="description">
<p><?php echo osc_item_description() ; ?></p>
<?php kinzaqrcodes_show_item_url(); ?>

See if increasing the barcode size to 120x120 and changing the chid to  chld=L|0 could maintian the qrcode in one size without any borders..

Chage the following code in index.php in plugin folder.

Code: [Select]
function kinzaqrcodes_show_item_url() {

  echo '<img src="http://chart.googleapis.com/chart?cht=qr&chs=120x120&choe=UTF-8&chld=L|0&chl='.osc_item_url().'" />';
   }

If you have problem with qrcode size on your item page where some codes are small and some are OK then doanload the updated plugin from the first post.

I wrote a pt_BR translation for your plugin and fixed the css layout for it
« Reply #12 on: October 03, 2012, 04:41:19 am »
Hello !

I noticed your plugin didn't have a pt_BR language and added one to it here.

Plus, I also saw the forms without any css layout, then I decided to apply the Google Analytics css and tags, to your QR Codes form.

Do you have msn ? I want to send you the zip =)

Hi

Where do I put this code if I want it to show after the classified ad. I already have the google maps showing after each classified ad but would also like to add the QRcode.

<?php kinzaqrcodes_show_item_url(); ?>

I have no idea which php file I need to add this code to or where in the php file I should add the code.

Thanks,
Angel

Hi there
Please read the intructions in your admin menu..

You need this code on your item page i.e. item.php

anywhere you want it.
