User Custom Fields
« on: October 13, 2018, 11:00:18 pm »

I've been thinking for a long time to (try to) develop a "User custom fields" plugin, something like the ones we have for items.
As far as I've seen, we have hooks for everything. I've already a created attributes plugin like "Cars attributes" for users and it worked great. Expanding it with admin settings where you could add your own fields without coding would be great.

But before I go into that, I wanted to ask if someone is working on something similar already? Is Osclass planning to implement this in the core? Also, is there any interest?

Thanks, regards.

Hi Patrick,

There is definitely interest for this and I have found some users wanting this long ago but osclass is probably going to add this soon - I have seen this on their 4.0 timeline at github - see the issues. So, visit github or ask them.

Hi, Patrick.

That is, for sure, a very important plugin to develop.
I wish I were able to, but un fortunately I'm not. I have skins in html, js and php, but not that good.

Besides, I think custom fields according to user type would be a great improvement (i.e.: "VAT field" for professionals, "personal interests field" for private users, ...)

Hope you or somebody can do it.
I'll be a client.
Good luck.

Thank you for your interest.
I'm working on 2 sites currently, but when I "get" more time to work on this plugin I will.
Seems like a nice challenge for me. ;)
